Welcome to Stoney's Cabin in Alta Sierra!!! Come enjoy the clean, mountain air among the big trees in the Sequoia National Forest. You will be surrounded by 80 to 100 foot tall aromatic cedar, fir and pine trees with stellar jays, squirrels, and other wildlife. It's absolutely beautiful up here...
Stoney's Cabin has recently been remodeled throughout, and will easily accommodate 6 people in the most comfortable beds on the mountain (1 King, 3 Queen, 1 Bunk Bed).
We'll supply ALL theAmenitiesyou'll need, including cooking, bbq supplies, linens, towels, etc. You just need to pack your own stuff and come on up.
Stoney's Cabin is centrally located in a recreational wonderland just 15 - 20 minutes from the whitewater rafting and fly fishing outfitter companies, 6 miles from Lake Isabella, and just 2 miles from theAlta Sierra Ski Resort (MAP to Stoney's Cabin in Alta Sierra). Come experience the local eateries, movie theatres, and stop in at Alta Sierra's own "Greenhorn Grill", a full service restaurant and bar, often with live entertainment just a short walk from the cabin. Or head down to Kernville to visit the area's only brewpub, Kern River Brewing Company, and try some of their finely crafted brews.

"Joe and I had a fantastic time at Stoney's Cabin. As a kid I spent summers on this mountain, and it was fun to explore it again as an adult. Stoney's cabin is cozy, homey and a welcome retreat after a day of hiking around Greenhorn, a drive to Frog Meadows, or a day of fishing at Alder Creek. It is fun to read and relax on the deck and enjoy the clean mountain air and a glass of wine. In the evenings the fireplace takes the chill out of the air while we play cards and board games. The master bedroom is nicely furnished, very comfortable and affords a lovely view of this still pristine mountain community. We have really enjoyed our stay and will come again. Your cabin was the perfect setting. The first morning we woke up to 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground. Not a good day for fishing-but playing the games provided by the cabin--especially "Mad Gab"-- proved to be just what we needed. the day after Christmas and found it was beginning to snow when we arrived there late morning. By the time we left in the early afternoon it was coming down a bit heavier and we were looking forward to getting back to the cabin. To our surprise, it was snowing at

Right out back is a perfect hill for sledding. During our trip late at night a racoon actually came up to the window. Just a letter of thanks for providing the perfect environment for creating memories. My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Stoney’s cabin for the 4th of July weekend. Your cabin provided me, my husband, our adult children and grandchildren with what we considered the most memorable holiday that we’ve ever experienced. It was simply awesome; you left no stone unturned. Our purpose in renting the cabin was to do something different, get away from our home in Las Vegas and spend some quality time with the children, and that’s exactly what we did. The condition of the cabin far exceeded our expectations. The cabin was fully equipped with everything you could think of and more. We were so comfy there that we spent more time enjoying the indoors than going out venturing, which is what we initially planned to do. The beds were so comfortable, well stocked kitchen appliances, the bath towels were very thick and plush, even bath soap?...it was great! We definitely plan to visit again soon (maybe then we can take advantage of some of the outdoor activities), but just being indoors for us was priceless; we watched movies, talked and played games all night long, there was so much indoors to do; my family had a blast. Thank you for considering all the necessities that make a house a home.
Ps: I love the flatware; you must share where you bought it.
