"Joe and I had a fantastic time at Stoneys Cabin. As a kid I spent summers on this mountain, and it was fun to explore it again as an adult. Stoneys cabin is cozy, homey and a welcome retreat after a day of hiking around Greenhorn, a drive to Frog Meadows, or a day of fishing at Alder Creek. It is fun to read and relax on the deck and enjoy the clean mountain air and a glass of wine. In the evenings the fireplace takes the chill out of the air while we play cards and board games. The master bedroom is nicely furnished, very comfortable and affords a lovely view of this still pristine mountain community. We have really enjoyed our stay and will come again. Your cabin was the perfect setting. The first morning we woke up to 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground. Not a good day for fishing-but playing the games provided by the cabin--especially "Mad Gab"-- proved to be just what we needed. "Our family of nine had a wonderful stay at Stoney's Cabin. The cabin and surrounding area were a very cozy place to spend Christmas. We found the cabin pleasantly equipped with everything we needed - even to enjoy a large Christmas day meal together! We enjoyed the tube park facilities at Alta Sierra Resort the day after Christmas and found it was beginning to snow when we arrived there late morning. By the time we left in the early afternoon it was coming down a bit heavier and we were looking forward to getting back to the cabin. To our surprise, it was snowing at the cabin as well! We enjoyed the wood burning stove especially on this day! It was a beautiful day. Thank you for providing a beautiful and functional lodging for us. "My family and I spent a three day weekend at the cabin. We had an awsome time and are very impressed with all the amenities the cabin offered. The beds are very comfy and the showers are great. Right out back is a perfect hill for sledding. During our trip late at night a racoon actually came up to the window.
